Objectives

Objectif:

L’étude cherche à savoir si l’analyse du sang (aussi appelée biopsie liquide) peut aider à prédire l’évolution de la maladie chez des patients opérés puis traités par chimioradiothérapie, avec ou sans nivolumab. Ce travail s’inscrit dans un essai clinique de grande ampleur ayant inclus 680 patients.

Méthode:

Après l’opération, et avant de commencer la chimioradiothérapie, les patients ont donné un échantillon de sang. Cet échantillon est analysé grâce a une technologie très précise (séquençage nouvelle génération) pour rechercher des traces d’ADN tumoral (ctDNA) liées à des mutations identifiées dans la tumeur retirée. Si cet ADN tumoral et détecté dans le sang à ce moment-là, on considère qu’il existe une maladie résiduelle minimale (MRD). L’étude va ensuite comparer la présence ou non de ctDNA avec l’évolution des patients, notamment le délai avant une éventuelle rechute.
